The Twittastic public rollout begins. Twittastic, is a Twitter client meant to do it better for most of the users. It’s meant to be simple to use, without sacrificing features.
The interface is a cross between a classic IM application and the Twitter webpage itself.
What does Twittastic do better ?
Some of the things it does right now are seen below. Slide through to see more.
There are plenty more in the roster though.
WTF is a Bleeder ?
Alpha means that a program isn’t feature complete yet, and is also very unstable.
Beta means that it’s feature complete.
Bleeder means Beta BUT it’s also not feature complete.
At this point I’m announcing the Bleeder programme, meaning that it cuts like paper.
While I keep developing features, the most mature of them are moved into the bleeder programme. This means that the overall software is Beta with respect to stability, but Alpha with respect to feature completeness.
When your Twittastic crashes, you get to send me a report. This is very helpful in letting me know what to fix. Crashes are usually fixable in half a day.
Right now I’m on Revision 31 and pushing out 2-5 updates every day. Most are bug fixes, some are new features, minor or major.
That said, if you want something to be part of the client, just leave a comment and I’ll do my best to meet your request.
How do I get it ?
Updates are also pushed right from the application itself. But you can also do it manually by clicking the button. Manual Updates in this way are supported for Firefox and Internet Explorer only.
Requires: the .net framework 3.5
